Coppola vs. Eisenstein

Frances Ford Coppola might be the one who introduced The Godfather to the world, but it was Serge Eisenstein who invented "methods of montage" and up-close shots of "shooting in the eye through glasses" and "a child carrier strolling down the stairs" he used in his The Battleship Potemkin, later recreated by Coppola. My love for the cinematography has started when I was very young. The passion for the great art of film was passed to me by my mother. I learned from an early age about the films of various genre and actors and directors from around the world. Later I've studied film, radio, TV and theater arts in college and have spent two years in Hollywood, working in the film industry: I worked in film advertising, film PR, on a film production and as an Executive Assistant to a well known film producer. This real-life exposure to everything related to a film production added to my knowledge of the art of the filmmaking. In this blog I try not to impose my opinion on anyone, but merely try to tell you my feelings towards the films I see.
